Japanese IME 2002 Language Bar Text Labels - reset to English
(too old to reply)

I have configured Japanese IME 2002 on my Windows XP Home Edition SP 2
system. Somehow I have managed to have the text labels on the Language Bar
configured so that they display in Japanese. I have just started to learn
Japanese, so I would rather have the labels in English.

I looked in "Help for the language bar" (which is in English) but no option
is mentioned. I have searched the Microsoft site with no success but I see
that English should be the standard setting for the Japanese optionon the
language bar, according to some documents that turn up on my search.

For example, rather than seeing "Input Style" on the tool bar, I see the
Japanese script for "Input Style".

Has anybody run into this and do you have a solution?

Control Panel - Regional and Language Options - Languages (tab) -
Details -
select the IME in the list, then to the right of the list click Properties -
near the bottom is Other and Language to Use in Menus and Dialogs.

(By the way that in older versions English wasn't available at all.)
